Job summary

Knight Piésold (KP) is hiring an Experienced Civil or Structural Designer/Drafter for our Vancouver, Canada office. A Diploma or CAD certificate with 6+ years of relevant experience is preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), Civil3D, and Revit is required.

Responsibilities include civil/structural layouts and detailed drawings, with complex CAD tasks under minimal supervision. Desirable experience in earthworks modelling and a strong team spirit to collaborate on varied projects,

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Civil3D; capable of complex CAD tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil and structural design layouts.
  • Create detailed 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit.
  • Revise designs based on feedback while maintaining timelines.
  • Model earthworks, dams, pipelines, roads, and excavations.

About this Position:

An ideal candidate for this position will have a Diploma or Certificate in Computer Aided Design technology from an accredited College/University or equivalent, or related training, and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. The candidate is detail-oriented and must be proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D), Civil3D, and have the ability to complete complex CAD assignments under minimal supervision. A good working experience in REVIT is also a must.Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Civil and structural design layouts.
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using software such as; AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.
  • Revise designs based on feedback from engineers or clients while maintaining project timelines
  • Modelling related to earthworks, dams, pipelines, road alignments and building excavations, etc.

Preference will be given to individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical competence.The estimated base pay range for this position is $65,000 to $95,000 CAD . The salary offered will be dependent on relevant knowledge, experience, and skill level. Total compensation and benefits also include the following:

  • Employer RRSP contribution.
  • Eligible for profit-sharing bonus and other uplifts.
  • Additional paid days off and office closure between December 25th and January 1st.
