Job summary

Defence Construction Canada is seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services in Canada to manage medium‑complexity construction and professional service contracts during construction, ensuring compliance with contract requirements. You will negotiate with contractors and Client‑Partners on quality, scope changes and progress claims.

The role involves monitoring schedules, mitigating contract risks, and liaising with site teams and other service lines while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: college diploma in engineering, applied science or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
• Preferred: certification in applicable field (e.g. Certified Engineering Technologist).
• Use applicable computer software and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality specifications.
• Coordinate and solve day-to-day contractual problems.
• Monitor and control schedules.
• Liaise with Client-Partner representatives and negotiate change orders.
• Maintain site activity records.
• Liaise with other service lines and site teams, as required.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC and with stakeholders.
• Ensure quality standards are met and manage contract risks.
• Manage contract financials and coordinate consultant reviews.
• Ensure health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Support and/or lead business development activities.
