Job summary

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services to support the CMMA Major Capital Infrastructure Team on major capital infrastructure work in Comox, BC. This on-site position handles paperwork and coordination for design and build work performed by outside firms.

You will oversee contracts, track schedules, manage changes and risks, and liaise with contractors, consultants, ClientPartners, and site staff to ensure contract terms and quality requirements are met.

Qualifications

• College diploma in engineering, applied science, or related field.
• Four years of relevant work experience (equal mix accepted).
• Ability to read drawings and written specs.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in construction.

Responsibilities

• Handle contract documents and ensure compliance with terms and quality levels.
• Track project timing and keep schedules under control.
• Draft, review, and issue change orders when scope shifts.
• Coordinate with ClientPartners, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Manage contract-related risks and maintain site logs (photos, activity notes).
• Support health and safety, environmental compliance, and industrial security.
• Assist with proposals and growth initiatives when requested.
