Job description

With some duties as a career development facilitator

  • Location: 2211 Nicholson St. S. Suite 110 Prince George, BC V2N 1V9
  • Salary: $4,800 to $5,200 monthly (To be negotiated) / 35 hours per week
  • Terms of employment: Term or contract, Full time
  • Day: 08:30 to 16:30
  • Starts as soon as possible
  • In-house position at the agency
Overview
Education

3 years to less than 5 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
Tasks
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare, administer, and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
  • Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses
  • Teach workshops to trades students
  • Develop teaching materials and other resources for program delivery
  • Deliver lectures and presentations
  • Assist students to develop life skills
  • Prepare reports
  • Train students in practical shop work sessions
  • Supervise students in work sessions
  • Identify community skills, assets, issues, and needs
