Role Description

As a banking services expert advisor at RBC, you attract high-profit personal and small business clients, establish and develop client relationships, and create value during key moments in their lives. You provide proactive and professional advice, collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and meet their needs during significant life events. You possess extensive expertise in banking services, investments, and credit, capable of delivering quality advisory experiences for complex personal and small business needs.

Responsibilities

• Show empathy and kindness in all interactions, taking time to understand clients' realities, motivations, and concerns.
• Communicate effectively to identify clients' needs, provide targeted advice and solutions, and proactively address concerns at first contact.
• Use your advising skills and those of your key RBC partners to meet all financial needs of clients, both personal and small business.
• Provide professional advice, inform clients, and demonstrate capacity to address complex credit and investment needs with suitable solutions.
• Promote digital empowerment by proactively informing clients about self-service options, guiding them with advice, recommending digital services, and inviting them to engage through their preferred mode.
• Leverage technology to communicate with clients virtually and in person.
• Implement effective client contact and relationship strategies to accelerate client acquisition and retention within your community.
• Collaborate with market professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgage loans, and business banking specialists to offer personalized and relevant advice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid mutual fund license (from the Canadian Investment Funds course or Canadian securities trading course).
• Personal finance certification from CSI (including Principles of Financial Planning – Quebec, Investments and Taxation – Quebec, and Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).
• One to two years of concrete experience in financial services, including credit and investments management.
• Knowledge of a wide range of digital devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.).
• Bilingualism (English and French) required to serve both French and English speaking clients.
