Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is seeking Concrete Formwork Carpenters and Journeyman for the Duffin Creek WWTP project in Pickering, ON. Start expected mid to late September 2026. Role involves interpreting plans, building formwork, and ensuring safety on site.

Qualifications

• Interpret blueprints, specifications and project plans accurately.
• Pre-fab gang forms, job built stick forms, install forms and ensure quality control.
• Stripping and removal of concrete forms after pours.
• Support the foreman with layout and elevation shooting.
• Maintain site safety and prevent hazards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and project plans for formwork.
• Build/pre-fab gang forms and stick forms; install forms.
• Strip and remove poured forms after curing.
• Assist with layout and elevation shooting for accuracy.
• Ensure safety standards and report hazards to Foreman.
• Install form ties and related hardware.
• Align, plumb and square forms for installation.
• Erect/disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces.
• Contruct suspended slabs; install handrails.

Job description

Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is currently looking for Concrete Formwork Carpenters and Journeyman to work on the Duffin Creek WWTP project in Pickering, Ontario. This is your chance to work with one of Canada's Best Managed Companies!

Expected start date: Mid to late September 2026.

Qualifications:

• Correctly interpret blueprints, specifications and project plans
• Pre-fab gang forms, job built stick forms, install forms and ensure quality control of formwork
• Stripping and removal of concrete forms after pours
• Provide support to the concrete foreman with project layout and elevation shooting
• Help manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standards
• Install form ties and misc formwork hardware
• Align, straighten, plumb and square forms for installation
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces and other temporary structures
• Construct suspended slabs
• Must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle
• Install handrails
• Report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards to Foreman
