Job summary

Tri-Krete Limited in Niagara Falls, Canada seeks an experienced concrete finisher to join our on-site crew. You will work at various locations across the region, handling formwork, pouring, finishing and curing concrete to exact specifications.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail and reliable teamwork. Prior experience (3–5 years) and ability to read blueprints are preferred, and all work is performed on-site at construction sites.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• 3 years to <5 years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• On-site construction work requiring physical effort.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
