Job description

Position Summary

Plan, layout, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for concrete structures in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans, and specifications; visualize objects in three dimensions.
  2. Construct, erect, install, and repair structures, scaffolding, and frameworks using hand and power tools.
  3. Measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts; construct and erect forms for concrete molding.
  4. Erect built-in-place forms or assemble prefabricated forms; insert spreaders and tie-rods; brace forms securely.
  5. Pour concrete into forms, finish surfaces, and install items as per plans and specifications.
  6. Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, and resources needed for tasks.
  7. Inspect work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge and skills related to the role.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools.

Requirements:

  • Ability to move continuously on a construction site, including standing, walking, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Use ladders, scaffolds, and other access equipment safely.
  • Lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Possession of required tools; a U.S. Driver License may be necessary.
  • Adhere to safety and project rules; pass drug, alcohol, and medical tests.
