DN Tanks is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our craft labor team. This role is vital, with responsibilities spanning all phases of tank construction. Our carpenters set the work pace, assist and guide other workers to perform their tasks safely and with quality, and help ensure the safety of our most precious resource.

Carpenters are responsible for managing tasks under the supervision of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Foreman, including:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete assignments timely with minimal supervision; seek clarification when needed and support the daily plan.
  • Understand the tank building process and identify subsequent tasks.
  • Interpret shoring drawings for installation and removal of shoring.
  • Assist in forming pipe pits.
  • Help train apprentices and new local workers.
  • Follow safety procedures and adhere to DN Tanks safety policies.
  • Incorporate safety into each task and promptly address hazards.
  • Promote safe work practices and oversee others during operations.
  • Follow quality control protocols, understand construction tolerances, and report defects immediately.
Qualifications
  • Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the United States as directed by the Field Operations Manager.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and vest.
