Job summary

JPS Construction Group is looking for an experienced Concrete Carpenter to support our commercial and industrial concrete projects. This role focuses on building accurate, reliable formwork while working closely with the crew to ensure jobs are properly prepared and pours run efficiently.

You will build, set, adjust, and strip concrete forms and read drawings and layouts. Benefits include dental care, extended health care, and vision care.

Qualifications

• 3 years concrete forming or industrial carpentry experience.
• Ability to read drawings and work accurately from layouts.
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Physically capable of demanding site work.
• Willingness to travel for projects when required.
• Ability to pass site-required drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, set, adjust, and strip concrete forms.
• Work with formwork systems including Peri, Doka, snap ties, gang forms, curb and gutter systems.
• Install and secure sono tubes.
• Read and work from drawings and layouts related to formwork.
• Measure, mark, and verify dimensions and elevations.
• Assist with job preparation and pours as needed.
• Provide day-to-day task direction to labourers and placers when assigned to assist with formwork.
• Coordinate with placers, finishers, and foremen on site.

Wage: $32 - $38 per hour based on experience.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with a variety of formwork systems, including Peri, Doka, snap ties, gang forms, and curb and gutter systems
• Install and secure sono tubes
• Read and work from drawings and layouts related to formwork
• Measure, mark, and verify dimensions and elevations
• Assist with job preparation and pours as needed
• Provide day-to-day task direction to labourers and placers when they are assigned to assist with formwork
• Coordinate with placers, finishers, and foremen on site

Concrete Carpenters at JPS are hands-on, flexible, and expected to contribute beyond formwork when needed to keep projects moving.
