Job summary

BGO Group is seeking a part-time onsite Concierge in Toronto, ON, to provide access, reception, and personalized resident support. You will be the primary contact for residents, managing inquiries, creating a high-quality lobby experience, and coordinating services and security tasks in a fast-paced property environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years related experience as a residential or hotel concierge; experience in customer service, residential property management or hospitality related role
  • Postsecondary education in hospitality an asset
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to conduct internet research; proficiency with Yardi is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt, courteous, personalized service to residents, visitors, suppliers, and prospective residents
  • Handle calls, questions, concerns, special arrangements, maintenance requests, lockouts, and other resident needs while following up to ensure satisfaction
  • Arrange transportation, reservations, dry cleaning, floral orders, business services and other amenities through reliable local providers
  • Maintain knowledge of Yorkville and downtown Toronto and develop community partnerships
  • Maintain a high-quality lobby and amenity experience, manage notice boards, amenity bookings, resident communications, and shift logs
  • Coordinate service elevator/loading dock bookings and inspections, contractor and visitor access, visitor parking, access cards/fobs, and security systems
  • Maintain access devices and Enterphone/security systems while liaising with contracted security staff and escalating issues to Property Management
  • Manage and distribute resident packages, groceries, dry cleaning, and other deliveries through designated systems
  • Support resident events, community initiatives, charitable activities, and BGO sustainability and corporate social responsibility programs

Job description

The Opportunity:

The Concierge is responsible for providing access and reception services to all visitors to the property and assisting residents with inquiries by providing personalized assistance and ensuring resident satisfaction is achieved. As the primary point of contact for residents, the Concierge is a champion of the resident experience and seizes every opportunity to exceed resident expectations.


Hours: Thursday through Sunday, 4:00pm - 12:00am


This is a part-time, onsite position located in Toronto, ON


What You Will Do:


  • Resident Experience: Deliver prompt, courteous, personalized service to residents, visitors, suppliers, and prospective residents.

  • Resident Requests: Handle calls, questions, concerns, special arrangements, maintenance requests, lockouts, and other resident needs while following up to ensure satisfaction.

  • Concierge Services: Arrange transportation, reservations, dry cleaning, floral orders, business services, and other amenities through reliable local providers.

  • Community Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of Yorkville and downtown Toronto, including local businesses, amenities, services, events, and activities, while developing community partnerships.

Who You Are:

Key Qualifications


  • Experience –1 - 2 years related experience as a residential or hotel concierge; experience in a customer service, residential property management or hospitality related role

  • Education –Postsecondary education in hospitality an asset

  • Computer Skills– Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to conduct internet research in order to assist residents with requests; proficiency with Yardi is an asset

  • Relationship Skills– Exceptional and refined oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with residents, suppliers and internal staff; ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute discretion with resident and company information is required

  • Organizational/Multi-Task Skills -Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes; detail oriented

  • Police Clearance– A criminal verification check is required for employment

The Expected Base Pay Range: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. BGO values the contribution of our employees and our compensation structure may vary based on the geographical location of successful candidates, as well as their experience, skills or qualifications.
