Job summary

Youtooz is seeking a Concept Artist to translate content creators into distinctive 2D collectibles that fit the brand aesthetic. You will research personalities, craft initial concepts, and refine iterations to align with the project vision.

The role requires 3-5 years in concept art, proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator/Procreate, and a solid grasp of art fundamentals. Experience with 3D programs (Maya, ZBrush) is a plus. Montreal-based studio, on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in concept art/drawing/sketching.
Strong experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or Procreate.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and solve problems.
Solid understanding of colour theory, perspective and proportions.
Visual development best-practices: roughs, silhouettes, lineups.
Excellent visual eye and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Research and capture a content creator's personality, mood, content, community and other defining features into a 2D collectible.
Create initial concepts and effectively incorporate feedback into iterations.
Interpret 2D concepts into turnarounds for 3D modeling.
Assist our 3D modelers by making supplemental 2D assets.
Meet design deadlines.
