Junior Accountant

Advantech Wireless Technologies Inc. is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team at our head office in Kirkland, Montreal.

Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, this role offers a valuable opportunity for a motivated accounting graduate to gain hands-on experience in both foundational and advanced accounting functions. You’ll work with a dynamic team that values collaboration and mutual support.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role within the Finance team by taking on the following responsibilities:

-Handle the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

-Authorize shipments based on customer’s credit position.

-Liaise with Sales Support to determine appropriate terms to grant customers.

-Prepare commission reports for all sales representatives.

-Support the accounts payable with data entries and reconciliation.

-Update the central cash flow forecast for actual and projected collections.

-Record monthly recurring entries.

-Perform bank and account reconciliations.

-Conduct intercompany reconciliations.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting

-1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting

-Experience in general accounting functions (AR/AP, reconciliations)

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced formulas

-Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (an asset)

-Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit

-Ability to work under tight deadlines

-Willingness to take on other accounting-related responsibilities as needed

-Fluency in both French and English is required due to daily interactions with our parent company in Ontario
