Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Montreal

Position Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday

Compensation: Between $75,000-$110,000/year, based on experience + group insurance, parking,

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Develop internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
• Support financial analysis for product launches, pricing strategies, and operational investments
• Mentor and manage a small team, fostering a high-performance culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including experience in the consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing industries
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
