Join Alchemist Laboratory, a forward-thinking compounding pharmacy specializing in advanced topical pain formulations, hormonal topicals, and ongoing research into peptides. We are seeking an experienced, self-driven leader to manage our lab operations and uphold our standard of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Operational & Technical Leadership
  • Oversee all aspects of the compounding laboratory, ensuring strict adherence to Health Canada regulations, USP795, and USP797 (if applicable) standards.
  • Personally verify and compound complex, specialized formulations, particularly in topical pain and hormonal topicals.
  • Manage inventory, quality assurance/control, equipment calibration, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure the seamless and efficient flow of prescriptions from intake to final check.
People Management & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of compounding technicians and pharmacy staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support continuous professional development for the team.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all lab processes.
Strategic & Compliance
  • Maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of industry research.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of successful regulatory inspections and compliance maintenance.
  • Act as the designated manager responsible for licensing and regulatory body interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct, hands-on compounding experience in a high-volume, specialized environment.
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership or managerial role within a pharmacy setting.
  • Deep technical proficiency with various dosage forms and compounding equipment (e.g., ointment mills, electronic mortar & pestle, specialized balances).
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring regulatory compliance (OCP, USP).
