Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Compounding Central Fill Supervisor for Lovell Drugs - KOPI Compounding Center in Kingston, Ontario. The role oversees Central Fill operations, ensuring compliance with OCP, NAPRA and USP standards.

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will lead daily compounding activities, manage staff, and support workflow, billing and shipping. Compensation is based on experience and location within a growing national network.

Qualifications

  • Must hold registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Experience in sterile and/or non-sterile compounding is required.
  • Strong knowledge of NAPRA, USP, and OCP regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce compounding SOPs and quality procedures per standards.
  • Oversee daily sterile and non-sterile compounding operations for Central Fill.
  • Verify accuracy, labeling, and beyond-use dating of compounded products.
  • Keep the compounding rooms, equipment and inventory clean and organized.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of ingredients and hazardous drugs.
  • Train, coach, and supervise compounding technicians and assistants.
  • Ensure staff are qualified, competency-assessed, and compliant with procedures.
  • Manage workflow to meet production demands.
  • Manage relationships with central fill customers (pharmacies).
  • Maintain pricing, shipping, and order management procedures for Central Fill.

Job description

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Full-Time Compounding Central Fill Supervisor to join our team at Lovell Drugs - KOPI Compounding Center in Kingston, Ontario. Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Position Summary

The Compounding Central Fill Supervisor is a Registered Pharmacy Technician responsible for overseeing all Central Fill activities to ensure compliance with standards, company policies, and applicable legislation as well as support workflow, billing and shipping. This role provides day-to-day workflow management, Leadership to central fill staff, and delivers business objectives. The supervisor partners with the pharmacy manager to deliver exceptional service and quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enforce all compounding SOPs and quality procedures, ensuring compliance with OCP, NAPRA, and USP standards
  • Oversee daily sterile and non-sterile compounding operations for Central Fill

  • Keep the compounding room(s), equipment and inventory clean and organized
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of all ingredients and hazardous drugs
  • Train, coach, and supervise compounding technicians and assistants
  • Ensure staff are qualified, competency-assessed, and compliant with procedures
  • Manage workflow to meet production demands
  • Manage relationships with central fill customers (pharmacies)
  • Maintain pricing, shipping, and order management procedures for the Central Fill business
  • Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager/District Director
Required
Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy compounding experience
  • Demonstrated experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding standards
  • Strong knowledge of NAPRA, USP, and OCP regulatory frameworks
Preferred
  • Compounding certification (e.g., PCCA, NPTA, or equivalent)
  • Previous supervisory or lead-hand experience
  • Experience in a high-volume or specialized compounding environment
  • Experience working in a Business-to-Business environment
