Job summary

TransCanada Turbines invites an Engineering/Science student to join our team as a Component Repair Engineering Intern in a full-time, on-site role in Alberta. You will work with Component Repair Engineers across machine shop cells to support repairs, overhauls, and testing processes for Siemens Energy Avon/RB211 and GE LM6000/LM2500 engines.

You will gain hands-on experience with repair development, tooling design using SolidWorks, and documentation like Route Cards and Data Cards, while

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Materials preferred).
• Criminal background check clearance required.
• Valid driver’s abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive engineering support for the Component Repair department.
• Assist repair development and production workload.
• Develop and source tooling/fixtures; use CAD (SolidWorks).
• Develop repair Route Cards and overhaul processes for LM6000/LM2500, RB211/Avon product lines.
• Participate in Non-Conformance and Quality Improvement systems.
