We are working with an innovative organization seeking a Legal & Compliance Manager to join their team. You will collaborate with a collegiate team of long-tenured professionals, providing legal support and ensuring global compliance standards are upheld.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and implementation of global compliance programs and policies, including responsible sourcing initiatives.
2. Conduct legal research and regulatory analysis regarding legislative changes.
3. Ensure adherence to policies and standards across the organization and with external third-party partners.
4. Provide legal advice to internal teams and support contract review and drafting.
5. Evaluate compliance controls and implement improvements in policies, procedures, and best practices.
6. Support compliance-related investigations and reporting.
7. Design and deliver compliance training programs.
8. Oversee third-party due diligence and compliance efforts in global procurement.

Requirements:

• Called to the Bar in Canada.
• 2 to 4 years of post-call experience in legal practice.
• Experience in regulatory law, administrative law, international trade, or corporate commercial law.
• Experience in the mining or natural resources industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial but not critical.
