Job summary

PARC Retirement Living is seeking a casual, part-time Driver for the Oceana PARC community in White Rock. You will transport residents to appointments, events and errands with a focus on safety and courtesy.

A Class 4 unrestricted licence and a clean driving record are required, along with comfort using an iPhone or Outlook for scheduling. As a PARC Driver you’ll support residents’ health, independence and engagement, completing vehicle inspections, assisting with boarding and de-boarding, and

Qualifications

Class 4 unrestricted licence with multi-passenger van experience.
Excellent driving record with zero points in the last three years.
Grade 12 education or equivalent; comfortable using iPhone or tablet.
Attentive, professional and customer-focused with residents and the public.
Understand needs of seniors and coordination with families and services.

Responsibilities

Drive residents to local destinations, appointments, shopping and events.
Operate the vehicle safely and courteously, following traffic rules.
Complete vehicle inspections at start and end of shifts; report safety concerns.
Help residents in and out of the vehicle.
Track residents during outings and return everyone safely.
Run errands for residents as directed by management or reception.
Assist residents with booking trips using iPhone and Outlook calendars.
Clean and tidy the vehicle; perform other duties as needed.
