Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time Bus Driver for Windermere on The Mount in London, ON to transport residents to events and activities. You will ensure safety, comfort, and respectful interactions with residents and their families.

The role requires strong English skills, a valid driver’s license with a clean record (ON Class F; MB/AB/BC Class 4), CPR/First Aid certification, and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills.
• Must possess a valid and applicable class of driver’s license with a clean driving record (ON Class F; MB/AB/BC Class 4).
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Assist residents with care needs (walkers/wheelchairs) while entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Transport residents to scheduled locations, outings and events.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings; participate in Quality Improvement.
• Uphold resident rights and the organization’s values.
