Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a Health Care Aide to provide personal care and support under supervision. You will assist residents with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and safety, while observing changes and reporting to your supervisor.

Emphasis on compassion, confidentiality, and teamwork to enhance resident well-being. Requirements include Health Care Aide certification and strong communication skills; former experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Health Care Aide program (or provincial equivalent with 500 hours practicum).
• Experience with seniors in community health settings preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service orientation.
• CPR and First Aid certification recommended.
• Ability to perform lifting/transfers as required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plan of care under supervisor guidance.
• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to residents and families.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information and safety in the environment.
• Support coordination with other care providers and services.
