Job summary

Hallmark on the Park in Abbotsford, part of Baptist Housing, is seeking a Resident Care Aide (Casual). You will assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming and mealtimes, following individualized care plans to support wellness and safety.

Work as part of a collaborative care team, maintain accurate records, and communicate changes with nursing staff to continuously improve care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program
• Current registration and in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• First Aid Level 1 (required for external hires)
• High school diploma
• Current Food Safe certificate
• Current WHMIS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, positioning, and safe transferring techniques.
• Assist with meal service and monitor resident nutrition and hydration.
• Observe and report changes in resident health and behavior to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in care planning.
• Promote social interaction and contribute to a positive community atmosphere.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and team members.
