Job summary

Park Place Seniors Living, Inc. is seeking a Casual Health Care Aide to cover days, evenings and nights at Villa Marguerite Seniors Community in Edmonton. You will support Residents with daily living activities, following individualized care plans and collaborating with a licensed nurse and interdisciplinary team.

This role emphasizes compassionate, respectful care, maintaining Residents' dignity, and adherence to park place safety and infection-control policies in a unionized AUPE environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Health Care Aide program.
• Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector within last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with activities of daily living per individualized care plans.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with Residents and families with respectful communication.
• Ensure Residents' rights and confidentiality are maintained.
• Provide holistic personal care according to Park Place policy and procedures.
• Encourage Residents to participate in social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities.
• Contribute to residents' care plans and attend interdisciplinary meetings.
