Job summary

Home Instead in Ontario is seeking compassionate PSWs, Health Care Aides, Nursing students, DSWs and internationally-trained nurses to help adults and seniors in the community. Duties include companionship, medication reminders, meal assistance, memory care, hygiene support, and coordinating with office staff.

Paid training, pension, benefits, and referral bonuses are offered; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Provide 2 professional and 2 personal references
• Complete a criminal background check with a vulnerable sector check
• Complete mandatory, paid CAREPro orientation
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and medication reminders
• Assist with meals
• Provide Alzheimer’s and Dementia care
• Hygiene assistance (e.g., bathing, toileting)
• Maintain communication with office staff
