Job summary

Qualifications

• PSW Certificate from an Ontario program.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 12 months).
• TB screening/clearance.
• CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in retirement home or long-term care is an asset.
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as required.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Follow infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and organizational policies.
