Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join the Elmira community. In this role you will build meaningful relationships with residents, support daily living activities, and collaborate with a caring Long Term Care team to enrich residents' daily health and well-being.

You will work under the Associate Director of Care, provide supervision and care, assist with communication aids, and help residents participate in programs that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Completed PSW program from an approved college or private institution.
• Alternatively, Internationally Educated Nurse with a Nursing degree.
• Detail-oriented with bedside care experience.
• Tactful communication with residents, families and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide Resident Supervision and Assistance: help residents with daily living as per care plans.
• Provide Resident Care and Services: assist with communication aids and medications under supervision.
• Support Resident Comfort & Well-being: cognitive, social, emotional and oral care; encourage program participation.
