Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time housekeeping aide in Canada to assist with cleaning, garbage removal, floors, and related tasks under the supervision of the Manager. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work both in teams and independently while maintaining resident privacy and safety.

Candidates should demonstrate safety awareness, basic English reading/writing, and willingness to participate in meetings and in-service education.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely, following established safety practices & procedures.
• Occasional lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment and climbing ladders. Exposure to biochemical agents and wet floors.
• Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
• Work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Reliable and punctual.
• Housekeeping aide will be responsible for cleaning, garbage removal, floors, and other tasks assigned by the Manager.
• Able to work in a group as well as working alone.
• Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties.
• Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
• Participates in company meetings as assigned. Attends in-service education programs.
