Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains a current license to practice in Alberta.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be active.
• Experience in residential care or mental health is an asset.
• Ability to mentor Health Care Aides and non-professional team members.
• Therapeutic approach to care and collaborative team work.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Able to organize, prioritize and problem solve.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Adherence to privacy and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to resident care plans.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and end-of-life care.
• Provide direct nursing care, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
