Qualifications

• Minimum education: grade 12 high school or equivalent.
• Certification as a home support worker is preferred.
• Willingness to commence in-house training.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, and grooming.
• Complete housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and shopping.
• Provide companionship and accompany clients to events and appointments.
• Follow written plan of care approved by the Client Care Manager.
• Provide specialized care such as Alzheimer’s or palliative care when required.
• Document and report client progress.
• Promote good mental health for the client.
• Develop a caring relationship with client and family.
• Provide emotional and psychological support.
• Ensure a safe living and working environment following OH&S guidelines.
