Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold active BC Registry registration.
• Certificate as Health Care Assistant / Care Aide.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Criminal record check with vulnerable sector clearance.
• TB screening and MMR immunization records.
• Ability to assist residents with ADL, mobility and transfers.
• Strong communication, documentation and teamwork.
• Follow HCA scope of practice and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist residents with personal care, mobility and transfers.
• Support daily living activities as directed by the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Adhere to confidentiality, safety standards and facility policies.

Education

Current BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry registration

Health Care Assistant / Care Aide certificate

CPR/First Aid certification

Criminal record check (vulnerable sector)

TB screening and MMR immunization

Dementia and responsive behaviour training
