Job summary

Mimak Care Corporation in British Columbia is seeking qualified Health Care Assistants (HCAs) for assignments in long-term care and assisted living facilities across the province.

Ideal candidates hold a BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry in good standing, a recognized HCA certificate, and current CPR/First Aid. You will support residents with personal care, mobility, transfers, and daily living activities, while following the direction of licensed healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• Recognized Health Care Assistant / Care Aide certificate
• CPR/First Aid certification, as required
• TB screening and immunization records (MMR)
• Criminal record check, including vulnerable sector clearance (within 6 months)
• Ability to safely assist residents with personal care, mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work within the HCA scope of practice and follow the direction of regulated healthcare professionals
• Safe resident handling and transfer training
• Dementia and responsive behaviour training
