Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Taber is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join the Long Term Care team. You will provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living under the supervision of a regulated health professional.

This regular part-time role (0.88 FTE) offers shifts days, evenings, nights and weekends. Hours per shift are 7.75, with a pay range posted between $26.43 and $29.58 per hour under AUPE AUX.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living per patient care plan.
• Assist nurses with routine care: hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs.
• Observe and report on patients' mood, health and wellbeing; document observations.
• Collaborate with patients, families and caregivers across the continuum of care.
