Job summary

Park Place Meadow Ridge Seniors Village in Medicine Hat, AB, is seeking a Health Care Aide. This part‑time and casual role covers 0700-1500, 1500-2300, and 2300-0700 shifts with a 7/14 day rotation, reporting to a nurse.

Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized Health Care Aide program and current registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
Ability to work in a fast paced care environment with residents’ dignity and safety a priority.
Clear English communication, both verbal and written.
Demonstrates patience, kindness and compassion in daily interactions.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
Follow individualized care plans and participate in care planning meetings.
Maintain accurate charting, medication administration under nurse direction, and safety procedures.
Support residents’ social, physical and recreational activities for well‑being.
Uphold confidentiality, residents’ rights and safety policies.
Assist with meals, transfers, lifting and equipment as trained.
