Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support daily meal service in our Edmonton location. You will load, operate, and empty the dishwasher and help keep all kitchen areas clean and safe for residents.

Requirements include empathy for the elderly, ability to follow food-handling procedures, basic English literacy, and a willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. The role emphasizes trust and quality care within our dining program.

Qualifications

• Empathy for elderly and ability to work with vulnerable adults.
• Ability to understand and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate and empty dishwashers; put dishes away.
• Maintain a clean cooking area including surfaces, storage and exhaust hood.
• Damp mop floors and clean other kitchen equipment.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Uphold ethics, integrity and organizational values.
