Job summary

Optima Living is a leading senior living provider in Western Canada seeking a dedicated Dishwasher in Sherwood Park. Reporting to the Food Services or Hospitality Manager, you will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas in a resident-centered environment.

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of safe food handling, strong hygiene, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food services role is an asset.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices is required.
• Strong personal hygiene practices are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates the commercial dishwasher to wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, trays, and utensils.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of all clean dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, storage spaces, equipment, and dining/kitchen areas.
• Assists with setting up and organizing the kitchen station for food preparation.
• Assists with basic food preparation tasks.
• Prepares beverages such as coffee and tea when applicable.
• Stores food in designated areas following food safety procedures.
• Reports maintenance issues and any safety concerns to supervisor.
