Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Mississauga is hiring a Cook to prepare meals and snacks according to recipes and menus, while adhering to prescribed diets and portion sizes. You will help maintain quality, assist training of new staff, and support daily kitchen operations in a seniors residence.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• Valid Safe Food Handling and/or Smart Serve certificates.
• Experience cooking in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or with a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and supplies for food preparation.
• Prepare meals and snacks per production sheets and recipes.
• Provide prescribed diets at correct temperatures and portions.
• Monitor quality of food and advise on corrective actions.
• Assist in operations in absence of team leader and train new staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
