Job summary

IntegraSupport Services in Duncan, BC is seeking a compassionate Community Support Worker to assist adults with diverse abilities, support daily living activities, and promote independence through person-centered care and trauma-informed approaches.

You will work part-time or casual shifts, provide personal care, contribute to safe living environments, and participate in community activities while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• CSW Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
• Current First Aid with CPR C.
• Valid TB Test.
• MANDT Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with diverse physical, developmental, and mental health needs, promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, peri-care, continence care, and changing, while respecting privacy and preferences.
• Support clients with household tasks, including meal planning and preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Support clients in participating in community, recreational and social activities to encourage inclusion and life skills.
• Implement individualized care plans, monitor well-being, and communicate changes to the team.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress notes and incident reports, following policies.
