Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority in Central Zone is seeking a Care Team Assistant to provide hands-on care and support for daily living activities within the OPCZ Medical Nursing Unit 200-HCH. Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work with regulated health professionals as part of a collaborative care team.

Successful candidates will have the Continuing Care Assistant Program, provincial certification registered with the CCA Registry, current Basic Life Support, and strong

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Certification and active registration with the CCA Registry.
• Basic Life Support certification is required or current.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct hands-on care based on patient needs.
• Support activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Reinforce patient and family teaching according to the plan of care.
