Shannex Incorporated's Parkstone Enhanced Care in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is hiring a Continuing Care Assistant dedicated to compassionate, patient‑centered support. You will help residents with hygiene, mobility, meals, and daily living activities, following individualized care plans and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Completion of Continuing Care Assistant program or equivalency according to the CCA Entry to Practice Policy.
• You are registered in Nova Scotia’s CCA registry as per the Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, oral care, meals and mobility.
• Assists with residents' special needs (eye care, colostomy, catheter).
• Assists in restorative care (walking, range of motion).
• Provides mealtime assistance and snacks, monitors intake.
• Documents according to facility policy and initiates incident reports as needed.
• Communicates observations to Supervisor and collaborates on individualized Resident Care Plans.
• Supports daily leisure activities and light housekeeping.
• Performs delegated nursing acts per policy and scope of practice.
