Job summary

Pacific Coast Community Resources (PCCR) is seeking a Community Support Worker to provide in‑home and community care, empowering individuals to live independently and safely. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support daily living activities, meal preparation, and personal health documentation.

Role emphasizes trauma‑informed practice, strong communication with families and professionals, and maintaining safe, inclusive environments in staffed residences.

Qualifications

• Requires Grade 12 education.
• Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community social services/health care.
• Current Emergency First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates.
• Previous behaviour management training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respect and advocate for the rights and choices of supported persons.
• Interact effectively with people we support.
• Empower supported persons to be full citizens of their community.
• Develop, implement, and document Personal Service Plans.
• Maintain positive relationships with family, professionals, and community members.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration.
• Record daily activities and personal health information in the case management system.
• Ensure the home is clean and well maintained, including daily food preparation and light housekeeping.
