Wage Range : $24.92 to $28.77 (Certification is NOT a requirement. On-the-job training provided)

Job Summary :

Under the supervision of the Supportive Housing Supervisor, Supportive Housing Personal Support Workers provide individualized personal care, homemaking services, security checks, and reassurance services to Supportive Housing clients. These services are responsive to the needs of our clients and promote holistic client care.

Qualifications :

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Preference will be given to individuals with a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate with relevant experience within the last 5 years.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Completed the Safe Food Handling Course.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist Older Adults with ADLs and IADLs in a safe, efficient, positive manner.
• Reliable and dependable work record.
• Flexibility and good judgment.
• Positive attitude, work ethic, and ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work independently.
• Genuine interest in working with Older Adults in a community setting.
