Job summary

Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is seeking a Program Manager to lead the full lifecycle of sports and recreation programs across all seasons and age groups.

You will coordinate community partners, manage budgets, registrations, and events, ensure safety and compliance, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills and a commitment to Kanien’kéha language initiatives.

Qualifications

• DEC in Community, Recreation and Leadership Training or a Related Field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads development, implementation and oversight of sports and recreation programs and seasonal activities.
• Manages program budgets, grants, registrations, and expenditures.
• Coordinates event logistics with the GM and facilities team.
• Maintains partnerships with Minor Sports associations and community organizations.
• Ensures safe delivery of programs and adherence to policies and regulations.
• Oversees participant registrations, waivers, and incident reporting.
• Represents the unit at meetings and community events.
• Plans capital and staff resources to support programming.
