Job summary

A prominent hospitality organization in York Region, Richmond Hill is seeking a Community Relations Manager. This mid-senior level role involves ensuring occupancy targets, developing marketing plans, and executing community outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate holds a post-secondary degree in Business or Hospitality Management or has 5+ years of related experience, with excellent communication skills and flexibility in work hours.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferably in Business or Hospitality Management with a focus on Sales, Marketing, Community or Public Relations, or at least 5 years’ experience in a related industry.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure occupancy and waiting list targets are met.
• Develop and execute an annual community outreach plan and attend relevant industry conferences.
• Work with the General Manager and Director, Sales & Marketing to develop a marketing plan.

What you will do

• Ensure occupancy and waiting list targets are met
• Work with the General Manager and Director, Sales & Marketing to develop a marketing plan, including budget management and submits regular reporting on same.
• Undertake efforts to stay informed about the competitive landscape
• Develop and execute an annual community outreach plan, and attend relevant industry conferences and seminars
• Assist with the set up and maintenance of model and guest suites as required
• Other duties as required

What you bring

• Post-secondary education preferably in Business or Hospitality Management with a focus on Sales, Marketing, Community or Public Relations, or at least 5 years’ experience in a related industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as computer literacy
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work at various times of day including evenings and/or weekends
