Job summary

GLA Rehab in Toronto is seeking a Community Rehab Therapist to deliver therapeutic programs in home, gym, school and other community settings under supervision of a registered professional.

You will support clients in achieving goals, apply cognitive and physical intervention strategies, assist with behaviour management and liaise with families and the rehab team to coordinate care in the community.

Travel within the community is required and driving is necessary.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and decision making.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• A background working with people with dementia and psychological/behavioural impairments is an asset.
• Fluency in an additional language will be considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle as all work is community based.

Community Rehab Therapist – Job Description

Our Rehab Therapists (RT) and/or Registered Kinesiologists implement therapeutic programs at the home, gym, school and other community settings, to meet client’s needs. RTs work under the supervision of a registered rehabilitation professional.
