Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Community Recreation Manager to lead and manage programs across fitness, sports, arts and culture for military members and families. You will oversee libraries and membership offices and mentor junior staff and volunteers.

This on-site role supports families facing military life challenges and delivers programs from preschool to seniors, with strong leadership and bilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• College diploma or certificate in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or Community Development, or a related field.
• Current AED, CPR and Basic First Aid certification
• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) completed by end of probation
• HIGH FIVE QUEST 2 completed by end of probation
• HIGH FIVE QUEST 1 completed by end of probation

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the department and operations of community fitness, sports, arts and culture programming.
• Oversee services such as libraries and membership offices.
• Mentor junior staff and volunteers to improve quality of life for military families.
