Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Community Ministry Supervisor to support the dinner program at the Centre of Hope, working with volunteers and staff to serve clients with dignity and care. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and mission alignment within a faith-based service context.

You will coordinate volunteers, assist with programs, and help manage food safety standards while supporting community ministries and outreach activities at Centre of Hope.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School, Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Diploma or certification in related subjects an asset.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 1 year of prior related experience, including experience working with multi-barriered persons.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team setting supporting various tasks and activities.
• Facilitate spiritual care of staff and guests, including leading grace for meals at Center of Hope.
• Schedule and organize volunteers for dinner service.
• Receive and sort non-monetary donations according to Food Safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the Center of Hope facility.
