Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team in BC. The role focuses on accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and ensuring adequate medication inventories, while engaging with the community to promote health and wellness.

You will work under the Pharmacy Manager, delivering high-quality service to patients and supporting staff with training, documentation, and compliance. A Class A license and BC Pharmacist registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license a must.
• Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills.
• Proven ability to build the business using community based marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving skills with action planning experience.
• Proficiency with Healthwatch or KROLL Pharmacy Computer System is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
• Ensure inventory levels of medications and OTC supplements meet patient needs.
• Counsel patients on new and existing medications in a friendly manner.
• Educate customers through public relations and health initiatives.
• Provide timely resolution to patient needs and Doctor requests.
• Review and control costs within the Pharmacy (dispensary).
• Provide ongoing training for Pharmacy staff and interns.
