Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the pharmacy operations on duty, provide consultations to customers and health care providers, and dispense medications while upholding full scope professional services.

You will ensure privacy, maintain records, collaborate with other health care professionals, and supervise workflow and inventory with a focus on patient care, safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to consult with customers and health care providers and dispense medications.
• Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and consent management.
• Provide counselling on prescriptions and OTC products.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge customers approaching the Pharmacy and provide counselling on prescriptions.
• Practice within regulatory requirements and ensure privacy compliance.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed and communicate with health care professionals.
• Maintain records as required by legislation and policy.
