Reporting to the Community Marketing Manager, the Community Based Marketing (CBM) Specialist will play a vital role in expanding our reach, increasing awareness, and fostering trust within diverse communities.
This role involves national travel, including air travel, to support new (“Greenfield”) HearCANADA clinics with CBM event planning and execution, aiming to drive brand awareness and establish lasting community partnerships. You will develop local partnerships, lead healthcare-focused activations, and serve as a connector between our services and the communities that need them most. Your ability to build strong relationships, source and secure opportunities supporting the growth of our Greenfield centres, and communicate our mission will be essential.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about networking and events, comfortable with extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Engagement & Outreach: research and secure opportunities for your centres, support planning, preparation, and execution of initiatives, and build trusted relationships with local health organizations, community groups, clinics, advocacy networks, and stakeholders to connect individuals with our services.
- Local Partnerships: identify and develop strategic partnerships with nonprofits, healthcare providers, community leaders, and institutions to expand reach and foster long-term collaboration.
- Coordination: collaborate with the Community Based Marketing Manager to develop and implement CBM activities with local Greenfield Teams. Track all events, evaluate performance using internal metrics, and provide regular updates to the Divisional Sales Director, Greenfields.
- Event Activation: organize and participate in health fairs, wellness events, resource hubs, networking events, and community initiatives to educate the public, promote services, and increase access.
- Health Equity Focus: champion culturally sensitive, inclusive, and equity-focused outreach and marketing approaches.
- Local Insights: gather feedback and insights to inform marketing strategies and identify new outreach opportunities.
- Internal Collaboration: work closely with cross-functional teams to align messaging, measure impact, and support local goals.
- Travel: frequent travel within Ontario, with some national travel, accounting for 65-75% of the time.
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education or certifications in Marketing, Sales, Business, Events, or related fields.
- 3+ years of marketing experience focusing on events and community outreach.
- Experience in healthcare outreach, public health partnerships, or field marketing is preferred.
- Proven success in planning and executing impactful outreach campaigns.
- Experience in the seniors’ market, health, or hearing care industry is a strong asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Proactive, compassionate, adaptable relationship-building and problem-solving approach.
- Technical skills with MS Office, Martech, Project Management tools, and familiarity with Salesforce, Eventbrite, Constant Contact, EventMobi, Whova.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Ontario and nationally as needed.
What We Offer
- Base salary of $68,000 - $70,000, plus a 10% annual bonus based on performance.
