Marketing Specialist needed at Envol Strategies Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Are you seeking a new opportunity as a passionate and experienced Marketing Specialist?

Envol Strategies is looking for a creative and driven individual, like YOU, to join our growing team!

About You

As our Marketing Specialist, you will leverage your marketing skills to play a pivotal role in empowering our marketing department. Under the guidance of our Marketing Director, you will support the development and execution of various marketing initiatives.

This is a remote opportunity, so we seek a proactive self-starter who can work independently and manage projects effectively. Your expertise in event management, social media, customer relationship management, content creation, and graphic design will be essential to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events, including conference attendance, prospecting, and networking events, both in-person and virtual.
  2. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for event logistics such as venue, catering, signage, promotional materials, and audiovisual needs.
  3. Research industry trends and audience preferences to create relevant content.
  4. Support campaign management for paid media, SEO, and demand-generation initiatives.
  5. Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
  6. Create compelling written content for websites, blogs, social media, emails, and presentations.
  7. Design graphics for marketing collateral like brochures, flyers, social media posts, and conference materials.
  8. Manage Easly’s LinkedIn strategy, including content planning, posting, engaging with partners and customers, and competitor analysis.
  9. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, note-taking, and calendar management.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience, including event planning, content creation, social media, and graphic design.
  • Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud and an eye for detail.
  • Experience with CRMs and email marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, Mailchimp) and familiarity with writing aids like Grammarly and ChatGPT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working independently.
  • Energetic and eager to learn.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Fluent in French Canadian.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Pardot.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of Canadian marketing trends and regulations.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of business finance and Canadian government funding programs.
